Axing Out Cancer

A Hero's Ride
Axing Out Cancer
Our Story
July 2012 my husband was diagnosed with Anaplastic Oligoastrocytoma grade 3. Surgery, radiation and chemo and then more chemo followed. At the beginning of this journey, we could not find a lot of information in regards to support for this type of cancer and the prognosis of his disease was not sitting well with us. So, we began our research into possible causes of this type of cancer and found that there are a lot of firefighters around the world that get diagnosed with Brain Cancer. We have been in contact with a couple of foundations, but a lot of the support was for lung cancer. We hope to help them include more support for Brain Cancer patients as well as care givers. Our goal is to be able to give back to the community that has supported us through this adventure.
